The M. Martani area has always been a high religious vocation area, both in ancient times and in the Medieval: the itinerary includes a discussion on the history and art of the Franciscan complex of Giano, which preserves frescoes and paintings of great value , and the figure of Fra ‘Giordano da Giano, distinguished Franciscan in 1200, and author of the “Cronache”. The route will continue on to the Benedictine Abbey of San Felice, Romanesque complex perfectly preserved: the life and martyrdom of the saint, as well as the abbey complex events, will be the background of our visit.
